Lifestyle retailer and label BEAMS returns for Spring/Summer 2022 with a diverse mix of items offering a Japanese interpretation of retro American casualwear dubbed “Amekaji.” Pieces look to collegiate and military styles for inspiration while incorporating sophisticated materials into modern fits.
The collection consists of a range of laid-back layering pieces including satin stadium jackets, checked hooded blousons, linen BDU jackets, and vintage bio-washed denim coveralls. Oversized thick cotton hoodies and sweatpants, football T-shirts, and heavy rugby shirts arrive in a simple boxy look while asymmetric striped shirts add an eye-catching splash of color while maintaining their wearability.
