Aries and New Balance Reunite for Running-Inspired Collection

London-based label Aries has continued its long running collaboration with New Balance, partnering with the label to release a new running collection. The capsule features a selection of athletic gear, new takes on Aries sweatsuits, and the introduction of a collaborative Aries x New Balance Fresh Foam 1080v11 running sneaker.

The shoe itself is dressed in a predominantly black and red colorway, which is offset by detailing in fluorescent yellow and green, as well as New Balance and Aries branding. A stand-out feature appears on the medial side of each shoe, with the collection’s “NB-AA” logo.

The black and red color palette continues throughout the collection, including the sweatsuits and running apparel, all of which sports the same “NB-AA” branding, and the collection’s “Unbalanced” title.

To mark the launch of the collection, Aries once again worked with photographer David Sims to create a short film that celebrates the “Unbalanced” theme. This is referenced through asymmetry, designed as a challenge to the idea that perfection and winning are the main objectives in sport, rather than imperfection and the importance of personal achievement.

The running collection is due to release via the Aries web store on March 30, before launching globally via the New Balance web store a day later.
