Real Madrid and Y-3 Reunite For Celebratory Collaboration
Including a sleek all-black fourth kit.
Real Madrid CF and Y-3 have reunited for 2022 to mark a shared year of celebration. While the Spanish football club turns 120 years old, the collaborative partnership between Yohji Yamamoto and adidas rings its twentieth anniversary.
To honor both moments, the duo have reunited for the first time since Y-3 designed the club’s third kit for the 2014/15 season. The collaboration — which comprises both on and off-pitch apparel and accessories — looks to seamlessly fuse the realms of sport and fashion with a symbolic coalescence of dynamism and speed.
The collection is headlined by an all-black fourth kit with white accents, and a pink goalkeeper kit, both featuring Y-3 branding as well as hand-painted stripes, numbers and names. Warm up tops, jackets and pants also arrive with reflective flashes, alongside off-pitch pieces like an elongated scarf and washbag.
The campaign — which is titled “The Ceremony” — features Real Madrid stars like Karim Benzema, David Alaba and Ferland Mendy, as well as club legend Iker Casillas.
The Y-3 for Real Madrid collection is available to buy now through adidas and Real Madrid webstores.
