Nike Gives The Air Force 1 a Luxe Treatment in "Brown Basalt"
Featuring wingtip oxford elements throughout the uppers.
Nike adds a new installment to its Luxe lineup with the Air Force 1 Low LX in a “Brown Basalt” colorway. The sportswear powerhouse has been known to give premium treatments to its signature silhouettes such as the “Lucky Charms,” “Turtle” and the recent New York Knicks-like “Blue” and “Orange” iteration.
Unlike the aforementioned pairs released, this latest offering takes on an approach similar to the “Pecan” and “Black Gum” swapping out everyday textures for a more winter-ready makeup. The uppers are constructed in a full “Brown Basalt” supple leather with perforations on the toe box resembling those found on classic wingtip oxfords. A slightly darker chocolate hue builds out the tumbled leather eyestays and main lateral Swoosh with jagged edges in line with the dress shoe theme. Round black laces loop over a nylon tongue to further combat harsh winds and wet environments.
An additional thick strip with heavy stitching is sealed over a gum-like midsole and a black rubber outsole featuring interesting jagged traction to prevent further slippage and to round out the entire look.
Look out for the Nike Air Force 1 Luxe “Brown Basalt” set to release at select retailers and via Nike sometime in the coming months for $130 USD.
Elsewhere in the Swoosh realm, Jordan Brand prepared another waterproof AJ1 Element in a “Berry” colorway.
