Fresh from giving its XC-72 a stealthy black makeover earlier this week, New Balance returns to the distinctive silhouette to present the sneaker in three vibrant iterations.

The XC-72 — which is inspired by the speculative technological optimism of 1970s concept racing cars — boasts an eye-catching speckled traction outsole which creeps onto the upper, which itself is decorated with hairy suede panels and an “N” logo crafted with recycled materials.

Arriving in either “Black/Calm Taupe”, “Spring Tide/Eclipse” and “Burgundy/Wheat Field”, the silhouette evokes an aggressive experimental edge thanks to its sleek, low-cut build, which is highlighted by its square-toed finish and a vertically split outsole housing hard ground traction designs the XC15’s gripper and the 375’s studded pattern.

Each colorway is available to buy now from the New Balance webstore, retailing at £100 (approximately $130 USD).

In other news, HYPEBEAST took a closer look at some of the best JJJJound collaborations ahead of the release of its latest New Balance.
