Take a First Look at Kawhi Leonard's New Balance KAWHI 2
Opting for a neutral two-toned colorway.
Following multiple colorway releases for the New Balance KAWHI, Kawhi Leonard and the Boston-based sportswear brand continue to build out the Los Angeles Clippers forward’s signature sneaker line with the new KAWHI 2. On top of powering through the NBA league, the California native looks to add a hyphen to his career post as he dropped a teaser of his rap debut following his release of the Culture Jam EP. New Balance Hoops has also been bulking up its roster of core athletes to represent the brand with names such as Jamal Murray and Dejounte Murray.
As we standby to hear Leanord’s anticipated track, New Balance debuted the latest silhouette which currently takes on a two-toned construction in simply white and black. A black breathable mesh and nylon make up the base with the brand’s FIT WEAVE LITE fabric. The bright white hue contrasts the stealth shade from the mudguard to the laces, tongue flap and sockliner. Oversized “KAWHI” branding sits on the tongue tab area while a signature of the NBA All-Star is found on the midsole upfront. New Balance’s logo protrudes from the heel cap along with a subtle appearance on the first loop of laces. The FUEL CELL midsole is split into three with the black portion molded with a ripple effect as a nod to other planets in the universe.
Further details on an official release date for the KAWHI 2 has yet to be announced.
Elsewhere in footwear, the New Balance 550 gets shifted into stealth mode.
