Following months of build-up, we now have an official trailer for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. Serving as a follow-up to 2018’s Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, the upcoming Sony Pictures release continues the multi-dimensional action while chronicling Miles Morales’ dealing with being Spider-Man.

The trailer starts off by showing Miles speaking with his mother while scenes from Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse play. Following a reunion with Gwen Stacy, the young Spider-Man unravels a multi-dimensional threat that leads to him learning of the existence of even more Spider-People. But differing opinions lead to Miles being at odds with the group, most notably the futuristic hero, Spider-Man 2099.

Directed by Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers, and Justin K. Thompson, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is written by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, and David Callaham. Notable voice acting comes from Shameik Moore, Hailee Steinfeld, Oscar Isaac, Daniel Kaluuya, Issa Rae, and many more.

The official synopsis from Sony Pictures reads:

Miles Morales returns for the next chapter of the Oscar® winning Spider-Verse saga, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. After reuniting with Gwen Stacy, Brooklyn’s full-time, friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is catapulted across the Multiverse, where he encounters a team of Spider-People charged with protecting its very existence. But when the heroes clash on how to handle a new threat, Miles finds himself pitted against the other Spiders and must redefine what it means to be a hero so he can save the people he loves most.
