Kevin Durant‘s list of accolades includes an MVP award, two NBA Finals MVPs, four NBA scoring titles, an NBA Rookie of the Year Award and more. He’s one of the most decorated active players in the league and his profound impact was eventually going to spark Nike to give him a retro run. 2023 is slated to be that year for the Brooklyn Nets superstar as his Nike KD 3 is set to return, and after news of his “All-Star” reissue surfaced, we’re now learning that a white and gold variation is on the way.

For this court-ready installment, the Swoosh designers employ a pure white paint job to the tumbled leather overlays, tongues, toe boxes and Swooshes. Off-white accents fill in the liners, heightened mesh heels and mid-foot for slight contrast. Gilded finishes then pop up on the controller-inspired “KD35” buttons that are stationed on the heels, the borders of the aforementioned Swooshes and the KD logos that arrive on the tongues and insoles. It’s tradition for Nike to apply this type of color scheme to sneakers that are worn in the Finals to nod to the Larry O’Brien trophy, but in this case, it’s being passed down to its hoop division’s inline offerings.

Nike and select retailers will likely be dropping these in the early half of 2023.

For other news, the Nike Air Max 95 “N7” Pack is equipped with a pouch.
