JSP and Round Two Team Up for Vibrant Sweatsuit Collection
With a palette inspired by the colors of Allen Iverson’s high school.
One may be a supplier of colorful fleece essentials while the other is a purveyor of vintage goods and a budding apparel brand, but JSP and Round Two have much more in common than meets the eye. They’re both headquartered in California, but their founders hail from the East Coast: JSP’s Jimmy Gorecki is from Norristown, Pennsylvania while Round Two’s Sean Wotherspoon is from Richmond, Virginia. It’s that shared combo of East Coast and West Coast heritage — and a mutual appreciation for Allen Iverson — that serves as the driving force behind their new collection of sweatsuits.
Iverson, of course, grew up in Virginia and became an icon playing for the Philadelphia 76ers, so the duo of sweatsuits draw their green-and-yellow color scheme from Bethel High School, where Iverson was a star in both basketball and football. One sweatsuit communicates this inspiration through a vibrant tie-dye swirl while the other opts for a more simple forest green body with gold accents. Both of the sweatpants are convertible, with zip-off legs that enable them to become sweatshirts, while the hoodies do away with a normal collar in favor of Round Two’s signature open-collar “neckline” detail that replicates the look and feel of an intentionally ripped sweatshirt collar. Both are constructed of heavyweight 470-gram french terry cotton and completed with co-branded details.
Expect the JSP x Round Two sweatsuit collection to release exclusively on the Round Two webstore come December 16. The hoodie is priced at $120 USD while the pants arrive at $140 USD.
