Do you know what the most expensive toilet on Earth is? It’s the Shrine to Lenin, a solid 24K gold toilet commissioned by Chinese jewelry dealer Winger Lam in 2002 and worth roughly $4 million USD. For the same price Lam spent on the Shrine to Lenin, he could have bought roughly 463 Kohler Numi 2.0 Smart Toilets, an $8,625 USD throne loaded with tech and comfort features that are worth more than gold — figuratively, at least.

Featuring a unique angular form that’s reminiscent of the Sandcrawlers in the Star Wars universe, the Numi 2.0 is loaded with tech from lid to tank. Its motion-sensing system will make sure it’s ready for you when you need it, no matter if you’re padding into the bathroom after waking up in the morning or frantically sprinting in after an extra-spicy dinner. If you’re heading in for bleary-eyed middle-of-the-night relief, there’s also LED lighting in both the bowl and the back so you have a clearly defined target. Besides the lid and lighting, the Numi 2.0 also has a heated seat plus a movable stainless steel spray wand with customizable water pressure, spray shape, movements and temperature that top any toilet paper, plus a warm-air drying system.

Even after all of that, there’s still more to sniff out: the Numi 2.0 has an automatic deodorization system — no nostrils will go unspared — and an electrolyzed, self-cleaning water tank. Last but certainly not least, it’s even got a built-in speaker system with Amazon Alexa compatibility so you can jam on the can.

Equal parts high-end toilet and in-home spa experience, the Kohler Numi 2.0 is currently sold out on the Kohler webstore but the brand notes that it may be in stock at various retailers or Kohler showrooms.
