Florence Tétier Remixes the ASICS GEL-NIMBUS 9 With Handmade Floral Jewelry
Only 30 pairs will be listed via Drouot’s auction from December 14-December 15.
ASICS didn’t mess around in the second half of 2022 and continued to up the ante on itself via compelling collaborative projects with the likes of Andersson Bell, HAL STUDIOS® and more, and this holiday season it’s adding Florence Tetier to its list for a capsule centered around the GEL-NIMBUS 9. This initiative marks the Japanese sportswear brand’s fourth installment of its ongoing ASICS Crafts for Mind initiative.
Tétier — who is the founder and creative director of Novembre Magazine — hones in on the accessories for this footwear partnership and there’s a trio of colorways involved: “White/Black, “Pure Silver/Classic Red” and “Frosted Almond/Black.” All have been elevated with handmade plastic jewelry embellishments that come in the form of see-through floral silhouettes that have been attached to the throat.
Only 30 pairs of this collaboration have been produced, all of which will be auctioned off via Druot from December 14 to December 15. In addition to the launch, Tétier has also readied a special activation at the Jogging Marseille concept store which will go down at the end of the auction.
100% of the proceeds from the crafted pairs will be donated to Ecole Democratique de Paris (EDP) — a Parisian collective where everyone is considered as fully sovereign over his or her existence and able to learn independently.
