After introducing a new ASICS HN2-S PROTOBLAST series earlier this May, Andersson Bell reconnects with the Japanese footwear giant once again for another imaginative series inspired by adventure and the outdoors. While the previous collection took inspiration from classic films, Indiana Jones, Jaws, and Batman, announcing the upcoming offerings are three mystical illustrations that offer a glimpse into the lore of “Asics World” — a place “far, far away” full of unique flowers and animals.

While we await more technical details, the first look shots reveal the removal of webbed lacing systems that stretched across the laterals in the first two collaborations. In their place are elongated, hiking-inspired eyelet straps which now span across the toe box. Three colorways are on display, beginning with a green and black take representing a curious sea monster known as “Frocto.” Next is a sunset-toned iteration inspired by the fictitious “Connie Kayodi” plant which produces feel-good liquids, and rounding out the series is a green and orange colorway accommodated by petite “Fissit-tattoos-fly” creatures.

The Andersson Bell x ASICS collaboration will release first on October 29 in Seoul followed by an online release on October 31.
