Todd Snyder Presents New Balance 237 "City Gym"
Revisiting ’70s gray-on-gray workout apparel.
Todd Snyder and New Balance reconnect once again for a limited-edition take on the New Balance 237, a contemporary reinterpretation of NB’s ’70s running heritage. The pairs revisit an era when workout clothes were predominately gray on gray, and are given the name “City Gym,” after Snyder’s first pop-up on NYC’s Elizabeth Street with Champion.
Defining details including oversized chenille “N” logos and luxe satin and suede uppers. Paying homage to vintage runners, the tongue consists of exposed foam layered with ripstop nylon. The inner lining arrives in soft terry cloth, similar to that of the inside of a sweatshirt, and smooth black leathers accent the tongue tab and heel counter. Rounding out the look are white midsoles and gum outsoles.
The Todd Snyder x New Balance 237 “City Gym” is set to release on October 25 via sneaker raffle on Todd Snyder’s website followed by a general release in select stores on October 27. The pairs retail for $130 USD.
In other news, adidas Campus 80s “How to Kill a Werewolf” arrives for Halloween.
