After dropping his first 2002R collaboration with New Balance in 2020, Salehe Bembury‘s career trajectory has continued to soar in the upward direction. The talented designer is dominating the clog game right now with his ongoing partnership with Crocs and he’s racked up other notable projects with the likes of New Balance, Canada Goose and ANTA. Back in September, he teased that an upcoming initiative was in the works with Moncler in an exclusive interview with Fast Company, and now we’re learning that his partnership is going to supply footwear.
Bembury took to Instagram to preview his forthcoming creation with the Italian luxury house, revealing just a zoomed-in shot of the kicks’ up-top point of view. The bold red tongue badge stands out right away as it calls out the two parties involved in the project and arrives against a yellow tongue that’s been textured with wavy ridges much like his aforementioned Crocs Pollex offerings. Side panels appear to be fashioned with intricate design lines and the laces arrive in a thicker fashion to speak to his oft-used outdoor sensibilities. A touch of shaggy, orange suede also pops out through the tongues to hark back to his “Peace Be the Journey” team-up with New Balance.
Sit tight for further word on a release date.
In case you missed it, Bembury recently released his stealthy “Sasquatch” Crocs Pollex Clogs.
