Nike Cortez Surfaces in "Running Rabbit" lllustrations
Equipped with heritage kiltie attachments.
Following the release of the highly-anticipated sacai collaboration, Nike Sportswear now readies its classic Cortez silhouette in a “Running Rabbit” colorway. Arriving as part of a larger collection, the upcoming pairs are dressed in an old-school mix of “Wheat Gold,” “White,” “Coconut Milk,” “Pale Vanilla,” “Monarch,” and “Ale Brown.”
Uppers feature a full leather build with white leather jumbo Swooshes running across the laterals. A special touch can be found on the tongue tab section where Nike-branded kilties are attached. The distinct false tongue overlays originate from the U.K., traditionally found across brogues and boots as a mudflap of sorts. Kiltie boots were the footwear of choice when paired with a kilt, hence the name. Rounding out the sneakers are pencil illustrations of rabbits on the dark blue insoles and two-tone sole units.
Take an official look at the Nike Cortez “Running Rabbit” above and expect the pairs to release in the coming months via Nike and select retailers for $100 USD.
