Get Aquatic With Nike's Newest Air Kukini Colorway
Featuring a nod to the long defunct Nike Alpha Project.

Returning to shelves in 2022, the Nike Air Kukini has seen a surge in colorway options as Nike attempts to capitalize on the ’00s retro runner trend. Recently, looks such as the monochromatic “Pilgrim” have surfaced with an expected release date landing in 2023. Now, another presentation of the 22-year-old model sees a reference to the retired Alpha Project division of Nike, a line that ushered in unique silhouettes such as the Air Presto and Air Kukini.
Appearing in a mostly-blue colorway, the Air Kukini leverages its layers to let its iconic design elements shine. The neoprene base utilizes a light blue while the signature web-like semi-translucent TPU cage appears in a contrasting black. Leather overlays in dark blue join on the upper at the toe, tongue and heel where the Alpha Project’s five dots logo appears. Lastly, the sole unit shows off a blue Air unit alongside a darker blue midsole and rubber outsole.
As of now, Nike has yet to share any release information regarding this colorway of the Nike Air Kukini. However, it is expected to hit shelves next spring alongside other Air Kukini looks at a price of $120 USD via Nike and select retailers.
