Pro Skater Kader Sylla Unveils His Second adidas Superstar ADV Collaboration
The California native reworks the Three Stripes model with shaggy purple suede uppers and golden accents.
While adidas no longer has Ye as one of its brand partners, the German sportswear brand has not lost any momentum when it comes to collaborative projects. The Three Stripes has been engaging with various entities such as Palace and Pixar for new launches, and now its skateboarding arm is revisiting its partnership with pro skater Kader Sylla. After teaming up on the adidas Superstar ADV earlier in the year, the two parties have reunited to produce a second colorway.
The Studio City native takes a bold approach with this new offering. Straying away from the stealthy arrangement that informed his inaugural proposition, Sylla leans on a bold purple tone to swathe the kicks’ shaggy suede side panels and rubber toe caps. “I’m really excited about this release because it feels bigger than the last. I tried to do a color that people aren’t doing much…there aren’t too many purple shoes on the market!”, says Kader about the launch. In addition, the sneakers also come dressed with regal gold accents that are distributed to the tongue banners, Kader branding that sits adjacent to the stripes, heel Trefoil logos and lace dubraes.
Interested in copping? adidas is slated to drop these on November 12 for $100 USD.
