Kendrick Lamar Shows off Collaboratively Designed Clothing With Martine Rose
Crossing off the “bucketlist to work with Martine Rose.”
Kendrick Lamar is the latest rapper to team up with the award-winning menswear designer Martine Rose.
The Compton rapper took to Instagram earlier this week to show his appreciation for Rose, claiming that it was a bucket list moment to be able to collaborate and design with her. Lamar posted a mood board image, depicting his inspirations behind the collaboration, including a series of images of Tupac, the Compton Cowboys, Eazy-E and merch options.
Martine Rose and Lamar’s collaborative designs appear to showcase pieces for the artist’s current Big Steppers Tour which includes a jacket embroidered with Kendrick’s “Oklama” moniker, a pair of leather pants with buckles and a black hoodie featuring Rose’s signature. Lamar took to Instagram to say, “bucketlist to work with martine rose she camera shy but gangsta say hello to my young.” In the past, other rappers including Drake has worked with Martine Rose, appearing in her virtual fashion show in 2021.
