During his break from fashion, former designer Henry Holland discovered his passion for ceramics, which spurred the birth of his eponymous design studio specializing in homeware. After releasing the studio’s first-ever glassware collection a few months back, Holland continues to explore new mediums to expand the studio’s offerings.

Another first for the studio, this season, Henry Holland Studio will be launching its collection of scented candles. Housed in the brand’s signature marble-ceramic chalice, now reimagined as a vessel for Holland’s hand-poured soy candles in a selection of romantic, invigorating, and creative scents.

The studio offers the candles in three different ceramic colorways, each paired with a designated scent. Coming in a green and white chalice, “Green Fingers” features notes of cedar leaf, mandarin, bergamot, crushed basil, and tomato vines for a refreshing botanical scent that evokes nostalgia. The romantic yet escapist “Take Me With You” drew inspiration from Holland’s Mexican honeymoon filled with roses, jasmine, ocean, and smoky mescal all contained within a blue and white chalice. Derived from the mood and smell of Holland’s ceramic studio, the brown and white chalice houses the “Studio 50” scented candle, a comforting and creative aroma infused with fig leaf, leather, myrrh and cedarwood.

“It has taken eighteen months since then for us to perfect our bespoke Henry Holland Studio scents and our first collection of scents are all inspired by significant nostalgic memories and moments in my life,” says Holland.

Every piece is hand-built in Holland’s East London studio, with the candles composed of 100% eco-soy wax and infused with a blend of non-GMO oils that are vegan-friendly and paraben-free. Priced at £95 (approximately $110 USD) each, the scented candle collection will be available exclusively at Henry Holland Studio’s official website. Coming soon.
