Awake NY FW22 Offers Gallant Graphics, Punchy Prints and Classic Cuts
Overcoats, suits and sweater vests join street-ready staples like hoodies, flannels and T-shirts.
Awake NY has been staying busy over the last few months. The brand collaborated with US Soccer, Nanamica, ASICS and even UPS since their SS22 collection dropped in May, and now they’re back with an expansive FW22 offering plus its accompanying lookbook. Founder Angelo Baque has a knack for bringing in influences from all over the fashion spectrum, mixing formalwear with streetwear and bright, bold patterns and prints with muted earth tones in seamless fashion to showcase the vibrance of New York City, and this new collection is a strong showing of the brand’s influences.
Marking Awake NY’s 10th anniversary and its fifth anniversary of being widely available in the US — before the FW17 collection, Awake NY could mostly be found in Japan at stores like SHIPS JET BLUE — the collection’s key pieces are overcoats with embroidered floral graphics, double-breasted suits in striking multi-color tweed patterns, patch-heavy varsity jackets and shaggy sweater vests. A hoodie, sweatpants and a long-sleeve tee were created in collaboration with artist Stefan Meier as well. Accompanying these key pieces are everything from sweaters, lightweight jackets and chore coats to tees and hoodies embellished with Awake NY’s famous script logo.

Awake NY’s FW22 collection will launch via two drops on awakenyclothing.com: the first is at 11 AM EST today, November 4, and the second is on Friday, November 11 at 11 AM EST. Select pieces will also touch down at stockists like HBX in the coming weeks.
