Paris Fashion Week officially marks the end of a busy Spring/Summer 2023 fashion month. PFW brought in the crowds, debuting some of the most sought after collections from major brands like Saint Laurent to Loewe to Balenciaga and even Louis Vuitton. As the season comes to a close, Hypebeast takes a macro lens to highlight some of the most outstanding street style outfits of the season.
While the world’s OG fashion capital has faced less than favorable weather conditions this season, it did not stop attendees from showing off some of their best fashion week uniforms. From rain, wind and just below 10-degree weather, showgoers rounded up PFW by teaching onlookers a lesson in smart, practical layering. When it comes to unpredictable weather, the importance of layering becomes more prominent than ever. Some truly embodied the classic head-to-toe all-black Parisian look, by pairing a lengthy leather jacket with a pair of ripped jean shorts and a simple black t-shirt, giving “Matrix, but make it fashion” vibes. Another has taken inspiration from Miu Miu‘s infamous mini-skirt and pairing the short skirt with a cropped tailored button-down, proving that showing off a bit of skin could be elegant yet provocative all at the same time.
The changing of the season saw vibrant puffer jackets, oversized vintage leather jackets, as well as relax-tailored blazers become statement outerwear pieces while also creating distinctive silhouettes. This season saw styles elevated by accessories, with a handful of exaggerated sunglasses including the Loewe’s inflated Fall 2022 shades and adidas x Gucci double-sided cap drawing immediate attention. Of course, Paris saw many famous faces this week, including NIGO, Emma Chamberlain, Matthew M Williams and Rick Owens hit the streets to take in one of the busiest weeks in fashion.
