Gucci's Latest Accessory Oddity Is the $810 USD Double-Sided adidas Baseball Cap

Gucci and adidas are in their second collaborative phase, dropping an extensive collection as part of Fall 2022‘s “Exquisite” range as well as releasing a duo of new Gazelles. Now, the Alessandro Michele-helmed house has dropped some more pieces, namely two oddities under its accessories division: the double-sided baseball cap and a pair of cotton half sleeves.

The baseball cap appears in beige and ebony “GG Supreme” canvas on one side, and in black cotton on the other. For the first side, Gucci adds its lowercase-styled moniker alongside the adidas Trefoil logo in thick white embroidery, while the black flipside sports white embroidered Three Stripes, looking like any regular adidas cap.

Each piece is exactly half a hat, joined in the middle by an invisible interior seam and a squatchee. As for the sleeves, Gucci ups the oddity as it crafts the piece from lightweight cotton linen canvas in white. Here, red webbing-style stripes run the entire length of the sleeve, leading the eye to a lace detail on the cuff — in turn, referencing the Renaissance themes from the second drop like the Silk Duchess Dress and the cape.
