The Nike Metcon 8 MF Celebrates Mat Fraser's CrossFit Moments

Continuing his collaborative relationship with Nike, CrossFit icon Mat Fraser has recently come together with the sportswear name for a special Metcon 8 release. Dubbed the “Nike Metcon 8 MF,” the limited-edition sneakers are designed as the peak achievement in functional fitness footwear design.
Mat Fraser’s Nike Metcon 8 MF collaboration celebrates the five-time CrossFit Games Champion’s seminal moments and turning points. The black/red letterman jacket-like look encapsulates his old-school work ethic with patches that showcase the moments that brought Fraser to the top of the world of competitive fitness. The lightweight mesh uppers are accented by textured overlays that offer durability while maintaining breathability. For a secure lockdown, the traditional laces paired with tab lock hook-and-loop closured that work with the Flywire cables that secure the midfoot.
Providing all angle grip, rubber appears at the arches and in the form of handstand clips at the heels for climbing and wall exercises. The shoe is elevated by Nike React technology set to a wide flat heel with an inner plate and grooves at the sole to allow for natural movement and flexibility.
Priced at £125 GBP (approximately $145 USD), Mat Fraser’s Nike Metcon 8 MF collaboration is available now at select retailers like WIT Fitness.
