Louis Vuitton Heads to the Alps With ‘Snow’ Pre-Spring 2023 Capsule
Conceived by Virgil Abloh.

Louis Vuitton is heading to the alps with its latest Pre-Spring 2023 collection. Titled ‘Snow,’ the new capsule takes a look at ski-inspired dress notes.
Although the capsule was brought to life by Vuitton’s creative teams and collaborators, it was first conceived by the house’s late menswear creative director, Virgil Abloh. What drives the offering is its analysis of the relationship between essential pieces and activewear. With an emphasis on functionality, the alpine-inspired collection is comprised of outerwear, knitwear, nylon ski garments, tracksuits and more.
“We live in a time of increasing awareness – of both ourselves and our surroundings – where businessmen from Paris become weekend warriors in Gstaad, and everyone is testing their own limits,” said Abloh. “We expect design to perform, to multi-function, to serve a purpose beyond the obvious.”
Key highlights include a padded black coat with all-over Louis Vuitton stitched detailing and a matching vest in white. Whether it be outerwear or knitted garments, the pieces utilize a blend of padded, yard and nylon materials for enhanced warmth in both alpine and city environments. Finishing off the capsule are accessories like quilted gilets, gloves and a selection of bags.
