BAIT Presents Basquiat Capsule for New York Comic Con
Featuring apparel, limited edition basketballs and two Basquiat KOKIES figures.
International retailer BAIT continues its expansion in retail and apparel each year as more collaborations launch and stores open. As part of the brand’s presence at New York Comic Con, BAIT is presenting a new capsule with the Estate of Jean-Michel Basquiat. Serving as the duo’s second collection, various collaborative goods have been prepared.
Beginning with the apparel range, various tees and hoodies have been outfitted with iconic Basquiat designs, including his 1982 oil on canvas artwork, Evil Thoughts. In addition to clothing options, BAIT has introduced its own sporting goods line “Vantage Point” with basketballs featuring various Basquiat artworks in a limited release of 300 each. Lastly, two Basquiat KOKIES see the late artist in two of his most iconic outfits, as photographed by Andy Warhol in the ’80s.
Release for BAIT’s latest collaborative Basquiat capsule is set to begin this week at New York Comic Con, running from October 6 through October 9. Look for BAIT’s booth, #1015, at the event for a first chance to shop the collection. A later release via its webstore and various retail locations is scheduled to follow.
