Margaret Howell Enlists Mizuno for Technical AW22 Activewear Collection
Featuring an oversized poncho, elasticated trousers and a packable tote.

In their fifth year of collaboration, British designer Margaret Howell and Janapese sports label Mizuno have united once again — this time, for a functional Autumn/Winter 2022 activewear collection.
The line includes two sleek waterproofed silhouettes: an oversized poncho and elasticated drawcord waist trousers. For men and women alike, the hooded poncho packs into its front-fastening chest pocket for ease of use, and the trouser arrives seamless. Both are designed with Bergtech, a performance-ready waterproof material exclusive to Mizuno. To close, the collection includes a packable tote bag in the same fabrication.
“What I continue to appreciate about our collaboration with Mizuno is the combination of their technical fabric and expertise of manufacturing and our suggestions on design and fit proportions,” Howell said. “With today’s lifestyle becoming less formal and more active, our clothes have literally followed suit and I like to mix the technical lightweight nylon pieces from Mizuno with the contrasting natural textured fabrics used in our range of clothes.”
Howell’s fruitful relationship with Mizuno first began in 2017 with a collaborative running shoe. Upon discovering synergy, the two imprints engaged in a blossoming long-term partnership, which has since offered up new colorways on the aforementioned trainer, a Spring/Summer 2019 swim collection and an Autumn/Winter 2021 sportswear collection.
Margaret Howell’s AW22 Mizuno collaboration will be available to shop in stores and on the designer’s website beginning in mid-October. Prices range from £65 GBP to £295 GBP.
