YEEZY GAP Announces "ENGINEERED BY BALENCIAGA" Creative Exploration
Coming later this year.
Kanye West‘s YEEZY GAP continues to shock, as news has just broke that the collaborative effort between ‘Ye and the American clothing giant will now be joined by Balenciaga in what it calls “YEEZY GAP ENGINEERED BY BALENCIAGA.”
Demna has been dressing West in his post-apocalyptic Balenciaga designs since the very start of DONDA, as well as the rapper’s soon-to-be ex-wife Kim Kardashian who has also been serving blacked-out looks created by Demna. Additionally, Balenciaga recently collaborated with Kanye on an “Engineered by Balenciaga” merch collection for DONDA, and prior to this, the two fashion icons came together one a DMX tribute T-shirt.
With these connections in mind, it comes as no surprise that YEEZY GAP and Balenciaga have come together on a “creative exploration”. In a press release, YEEZY GAP notes, “This first of its kind launch sees ye’s peerless vision bring together the most influential designer of his generation, Demna, with [the] iconic American brand, gap. YEEZY GAP engineered by Balenciaga continues ‘Ye’s commitment to bringing creativity to the forefront and delivering his vision of utilitarian design for all.”
