New Balance 550 Appears With Burgundy and Blue Accents

There are several key players right now in New Balance‘s lifestyle footwear division that are pushing the brand forward in terms of dropping popular GRs and collaborations, one of which is the New Balance 550. It’s become a bonafide staple since it saw a reintroduction to the sneaker market back in 2020, and now it has just surfaced in a clean white, burgundy and baby blue colorway.

The standard materials are once again delivered to the upper half of these street-ready kicks. Most of the base layer is served up with clean white leathers that bear perforations across the mid-foot and just along the borders of the toe box and heel overlays. Tongues and laces are also given angelic finishes while rich burgundy hits apply themselves to the N logos, collars, interior liners, lower throat trimming and the tongue’s basketball logos. Additionally, these basketball-turned-lifestyle shoes are lent subtle splashes of baby blue across the 550 forefoot branding, around the aforementioned N insignias and the New Branding atop the tongues. Midsole pieces are coated with an off-white hue and come stacked above an outsole that features gray, burgundy and white color-blocking.

Retailers like Foot District are set to drop this pair on January 7 for $120 USD.
