Kaiyodo Drops "EVA GIRLS" Figures Featuring Asuka and Rei
Celebrating the 25th anniversary of ‘Neon Genesis Evangelion.’
In celebration of the 25th anniversary of the TV anime Neon Genesis Evangelion, Kaiyodo released the “EVA GIRLS” collection of action figures featuring the Evangelion characters, sculpted by Hayashi Hiroki.
The collection sees three types of 1/7-scale figures based on the iconic Evangelion pilots Asuka Shikinami Langley, Rei Ayanami, and Mari Makinami Illustrious in their signature “plugsuits” in red, white, and pink. The heroines of about 21.3cm are sculpted with delicate details and finished in accurate paint — a first in the plastic model industry.
Priced at ¥13,970 JPY (approximately $120 USD) each, the “EVA GIRLS” collection is now available on Amazon and other online hobby stores.
