While most of Michael Jordan‘s footwear memorabilia are from his Air Jordan line, SCP Auctions has revealed a historic pair of Converse All-Stars worn by Jordan during the 1984 Olympic Trials.

Michael Jordan was still attending UNC when he was selected to be a part of the Team USA in 1984. The team was considered to be one of the strongest in history at the time, from which future Hall of Famers Charles Barkley, Karl Malone, and John Stockton were notably cut. The Converse All-Stars were a standard issue from the University of North Carolina Tar Heels, under the guidance of coaching legend Dean Smith.

The shoes were originally gifted to the son of the team USA physician in the final tune-up game leading up to the Olympics, and appeared last year on Sotheby’s as part of its “The Olympic Collection.” Both size 13 shoes are signed by Jordan as well as Christ Mullin, Vern Fleming, Alvin Robertson, and Wayman Tisdale.

The auction is now live on SCP Auctions with the minimum bid set at $20,000 USD.

Elsewhere in footwear, this Nike Air Force 1 Mid celebrates “London.”
