Louis Vuitton Releases American Football-Inspired Apparel Just in Time for the End of the NFL Season
Citing the sportswear-influence from the season.
Louis Vuitton continues to channel an athletic influence for its latest collection pieces. The French luxury brand has embraced the oversized sportswear look, taking inspiration from American football. The pieces come just in time for the end of the NFL season and feature a selection of jersey-like apparel.
The intarsia football piece comes as a relaxed fit in a black and yellow colorway. A woven jacquard LV logo is placed front and center while the back takes on a jersey-inspired graphic for the word “Vuitton” and the number “OO”. Staying true to the jersey aesthetic, the sweater features a v-neck cut, pique stitching and ribbed collar and the cuffs and bottom hem. Similarly, Louis Vuitton has also released a Los Angeles Chargers-inspired jersey t-shirt. Available in the Chargers’ powder blue and gold colorway, the shirt’s shiny technical fabric contrasts with the lightweight mesh. The team’s lightning bolt logo can also be seen on the shoulders of the shirt. The Chargers-influenced design can also be seen on the sport jersey shorts which see the Louis Vuitton monogram logo on the right leg and “00” on the other.
All three pieces are currently available online at Louis Vuitton and retails between $1,053 USD to $1,316 USD.
