Salehe Bembury Officially Unveils His New Balance "Universal Communication" Collection
Featuring several New Balance Yurt 574 colorways alongside matching apparel.
If there’s any designer out there right now whose wave simply cannot be halted, it’s Salehe Bembury. He’s already reached a level of fame in the realm of streetwear where consumers are watching his every move whether that involves his product teasers, him juggling on IG stories or even giving out 1-of-1 Crocs collaborations to longtime friend Aminé. And on the product front, the talented creative is gearing up to broaden his initiatives with New Balance in the form of a collaborative “Universal Communication” collection for Fall/Winter 2021.
In his fun and colorful campaign that features Jesse Williams, Algee Smith and more, Bembury reveals all of the line’s impending footwear and apparel products. Leading the way are his chunky, whistle-equipped New Balance Yurt 574s that have been uncovered in “Olive/Navy/Red”, “Gray/White”, Black/Purple, “Teal/Volt” and “White/Blue/Pink” colorways. In the apparel department, the two parties have cooked up a range of fleece pullovers with his signature finger-print on the backside, fleece and nylon pants, puffer-type jackets to keep you warm during the colder seasons, graphic tees and hoodies, utility vest and more. And to top things off, the NY-born designer is proffering up an assortment of accessories from trail-ready backpacks that are supplied with water tubes, a hybrid tote/backpack, nylon scarves with concealed pockets and 5-panel caps.
