Saint Laurent Rive Droite Launches Thought-Provoking Magazine 'FANZINE'
The first issue was curated by English artist and photographer Indigo Lewin.
Saint Laurent Rive Droite — the House’s cultural hub curated by creative director Anthony Vaccarello in Paris and extended in Los Angeles — has announced the launch of FANZINE, a magazine that will serve as a platform for up-and-coming creatives to showcase their work.
To launch the initiative, Saint Laurent enlisted English artist and photographer Indigo Lewin as FANZINE’s first guest editor. Lewin curated the magazine’s first issue with an exclusive range of images pulled from her archive, featuring intimate shots highlighting the natural beauty of the human body and the photographer’s close friends.
“Born and raised in London, Indigo Lewin’s body of work is an honest depiction of the world she sees around her,” the label said in a statement. “Her curiosity and fascination with intimacy, the body, youth, and friendship, are what guide her work.”
Along with Lewin’s images, the first issue also features the photographer’s writing and private notes, inviting readers into her psyche with intimate entries in her personal diary.
Lewin’s work will be on display for a limited time in the Saint Laurent Rive Droite Paris and Los Angeles stores beginning September 16.
