Roscomar has returned with another sustainable-focused sneaker collection. The new capsule features a range of silhouettes, each of which is constructed from vegan, recycled or organic materials, chosen to lower the cradle-to-cradle carbon footprint of each sneaker.

Arguably the stand-out in this collection is the Court 50/50 Vegan, described as Roscomar’s most sustainable shoe to date. The cradle-to-cradle carbon footprint is less than half that of average sneakers, with plant-based and recycled materials such as Seaqual — a high-quality yarn produced using post-consumer marine plastic waste — used in its construction.

Elsewhere in the capsule, the Court Recycled Leather is produced using leather scraps that have been upcycled from glove manufacturing cut offs, while the Court 50/50 mixes a Seaqual lining with uppers produced partly from ECONYL (a regenerated nylon made from waste) and certified LWG leather.

All of these silhouettes feature Roscomar’s signature natural and recycled rubber outsoles and midsoles constructed from sugarcane and EVA. Additionally, the carbon footprint data of each sneaker is published on the inside of the tongue.

Take a look at the second Roscomar collection in the gallery above, with the sneakers now available from Browns and other select retailers.

In related news, Champion recently revealed its sustainable new “Eco Future” collection.
