Levi's Reimagines Collegiate Staples with Felix the Cat

First debuted in the 1919 short film Feline Follies, Felix the Cat was the first animated character with enough popularity to attract movie audiences.

The mischievous cat did everything with a giant grin and always managed to get himself in and out of trouble thanks to his magical tail and bag of tricks. Over the past century, Felix has become a household icon, appearing in not only films and comic strips, but also as a muse and mascot for sodas, professional sports teams, a Daniel Arsham sculpture and even an active U.S. Navy’s Bombing Squadron nicknamed the “Tomcatters.”

For the Felix the Cat collaboration, Levi’s opts for a playful approach, integrating Felix branding elements into retro-inspired collegiate wear. Highlights include the varsity jacket featuring leather sleeves and a washed denim body, relaxed straight leg jeans with a black co-branded jacron and university blue pennon on the back pocket, and a two-tone denim duffel bag with striped handles. Other items include short and long-sleeve rugby shirts, hoodies, round-neck pullover sweaters, T-shirts, belts, mosaic print cardigans, and a bright multi-color bucket hat.
