On Thursday, Coldplay and BTS released the music video for their new single “My Universe.” Set in a distant future where music is banned, the space-themed video was directed by Dave Meyers, who has worked with the likes of Missy Elliot, Drake, Young Thug, Billie Eilish, Ariana Grande and others.

In the music video, Coldplay, BTS and an alien band named Supernova 7 are located on three different planets. To rebel against the music ban, the three entities join forces via hologram to perform “My Universe,” a song that praises love and unity. The new single appears on Coldplay’s upcoming ninth studio album, Music of the Spheres, which is set to arrive Friday, October 15.

Earlier this month, BTS was inducted into the Guinness World Records 2022 Hall of Fame with a total of 23 records across music and social media. The group’s single “Butter” received five records itself, which include most viewers for the premiere of a music video on YouTube, most streamed track on Spotify in the first 24 hours and more. The single has also been on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart for 18 weeks since its May 21 release.
