Two months after announcing the game, Square Enix has now unveiled the main villain for Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, a similar action-adventure title to last year’s Marvel’s Avengers.

Making his debut in a two-minute cinematic trailer (which you can view above), Grand Unifier Raker presents himself to the Guardians of the Galaxy crew, welcoming the misfit group of heroes to the Universal Church of Truth, described by the game as “a mysterious organization intent on bringing their so-called ‘Promise’ to the whole galaxy.” In an exchange with Starlord, Raker also mentions the Matriarch, which comic book fans will know is the second-highest ranking member of the enigmatic Church, just after Magus. As the Guardians’ ship gets drawn in by a tractor beam, the trailer ends with one encouraging note to players: “You got this.”

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy will arrive on October 26 for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.

Elsewhere in gaming, Halo Infinite has received an official release date.
