Nike Waffle One Crater "Lime Ice" Combines Earth-Focused Construction and a Far-Out Color Palette
A glowing green color scheme is mixed with a recycled material midsole.
Nike‘s Waffle One recently took a step towards sustainability with its new Crater model, and now the Waffle One Crater has appeared in a new “Lime Ice” colorway. Combining earth-focused construction with a far-out color palette, the Waffle One Crater “Lime Ice” is “eye candy for your feet,” according to Nike’s product description.
“Lime Ice” uppers are made of an ultra-thin mesh that’s made of recycled polyester and shows the Waffle One’s insole, enabling the wearer to get creative with colorful sock options. This slim build is reinforced by fabric mudguards, eyestays and heel pieces plus a bright volt TPU heel clip. Swooshes are presented in “Armory Navy,” as is the collar trim and the Nike Sportswear sunburst logo on the tongue.
As vivid as the upper may be, the Crater Foam midsole is the defining characteristic of the “Lime Ice.” It’s made from recycled Nike Grind rubber and foam, with colorful flecks and bubbling construction. Below this sustainable slab of foam sits a gray waffle outsole flecked with even more ground-up rubber to complete the look.
The Nike Waffle One Crater “Lime Ice” is available now via the Nike webstore, and is priced at $110 USD.
