Kyrie Irving Debuts a Nike Kyrie 8 Colorway That's Covered in Blue Camo Patterns
Guess he doesn’t think they’re “trash” anymore.

Towards the final week of July 2021, Kyrie Irving took to social media to address a leaked image of his forthcoming Kyrie 8 by calling them “trash” and that Nike was going to drop them without his consent. Being that the All-Star point guard is one of the Swoosh’s most coveted hoops athletes, it’s likely that both parties had conversations about the new signature silhouette and what necessary adjustments needed to be made before sending it into final production. And it appears that the they have cleared the smoke as Irving was recently spotted working out a blue camo-covered colorway of his impending model.
The camouflage pattern is the stand-out element of these kicks and it alternates between navy, baby blue and sporty blue shadings along the synthetic toe boxes and mid-foot — a noticeable design modification from the Kyrie 7s which were mainly done up in mesh. From there, baby blue trimming shows face just above the midsoles, on the tongues which bear Irving’s oversized signature, and around the navy blue lateral and medial heel panels that host white outlines of a Swoosh logo. Moreover, the interior liners look to be coated with a muted purple hue while the bottom units are outfitted in white.
It’s still unclear if these are an official colorway or if the shoes have even been approved by Irving to hit mass production. However, being that the start of the new NBA season is approaching, it’s likely that we’ll learn official release details for the Kyrie 8 in the coming weeks.
