Nike Dunk High Rebel Revealed in "Varsity Maize" and "Summit White"
Two classic Dunk colorways, remixed atop a new model.
Nike is wasting no time in rolling out its new Dunk High Rebel silhouette, with classic “Varsity Maize” and “Summit White” colorways joining the multi-color iteration and the “Iron Purple” makeup that were revealed recently. What makes both of these styles compelling is that they offer a fresh twist on familiar Dunk colorways: “Varsity Maize” draws from the ‘85 Dunk High “Michigan” and “Summit White” is an altered iteration of the crisp Dunk High “Pure Platinum” that dropped at the tail end of 2020.
“Varsity Maize” supplies a familiar blend of yellow and blue that’s sure to draw in any Michigan Wolverines fan, but differentiates itself from traditional Nike Sportswear releases by adding bright red trim, a small red Swoosh atop the standard midfoot Swoosh and contrast stitching towards the heel. “Summit White” offers a much more low-key look with an all-white leather upper, but embellishes itself with soft gray trim and mini Swooshes. Each pair is rounded off with a statement-making extra thick midsole.
You can expect the Nike Dunk High Rebel in “Varsity Maize” and “Summit White” to release via Nike SNKRS Japan come August 16, with a US release likely to follow later in the month. The MSRP for each pair is set at ¥14,300 JPY (approximately $130 USD).
