Nike Debuts the Double-Soled, Double-Layered Dunk High Rebel
A spiritual successor to the Swoosh’s “Reimagined” collection from 2019.

Nike is reviving its popular “Reimagined” series with a new silhouette dubbed the Dunk High Rebel. A Nike Sportswear initiative that kicked off in 2019, “Reimagined” re-worked both the Air Force 1 and Air Jordan 1 with makeups like “Rebel,” “Jester,” “Lover,” “Sage” and “Explorer,” all of which nodded to the multifaceted skills of female creatives. “Rebel” makeups were some of the most popular out of this lineup, and now they’re back on this doubled-up Dunk High for women.
Taking a page out of the sacai book — albeit in slightly less jarring fashion — the Dunk High Rebel features a double-stacked midsole, two sets of collar flaps and trim around the mudguard that makes it look as if there’s another mudguard underneath. Even the Swoosh gets in on the action, with a miniature embroidered iteration placed above the regular Swoosh on the lateral side. The Dunk High “Rebel” is certainly not lacking for color either, with a “Cashmere/Green Noise/Pale Coral” makeup splashing bright shades from sky blue to orange, peach and yellow across the upper before adding forest green into the mix for a touch of dark contrast. White midsoles and gum outsoles round off the look.
The Nike Dunk High Rebel is set to debut at retailers like Asphalt Gold come August 10. It’ll be priced at $120 USD.
