Nike Air Max 90 Laser Returns with A Rich Mahogany Colorway
Featuring an abundance of elegant wooden shades and intricate laser detailing.

Laser etching is a richly detailed method of embellishment that Nike has used on classic silhouettes ranging from the Air Force 1 to the Cortez and the Air Jordan 1, but the latest sneaker to get the laser treatment is the Air Max 90. A natural wood-inspired colorway debuted back in February, and now laser etching is coming to the seminal Air Max for a second time thanks to a rich mahogany colorway.
Offering a look that’s seemingly just as much woodwork art as it is a sneaker, this Air Max 90 features a one-piece mahogany leather upper, covered from toe to heel in swirling laser-etched patterns. Even the key details like the Swoosh, heel badge and eyestays are laser-etched, making for a clever alternate take on the AM 90’s familiar layered look.
The premium stylings continue to the shoe’s collar area with a thicker-than-usual leather tongue, branded with a lasered Nike Sportswear hit. The collar lining and insole are both constructed of burgundy leather as well. Down below, white midsoles with a burgundy Air Max cushioning unit and semi-translucent berry red outsoles complete the style.
Expect the mahogany-colored Nike Air Max 90 Laser to release via Nike SNKRS Korea on August 10, with a US release date likely to follow later in the month. The MSRP is set at $150 USD.
