Nike is celebrating Mexico City’s intangible cultural heritage of Lucha Libre in an upcoming pair of Air Force 1s.

Adding to the series of Mexican professional wrestling-inspired models — like the upcoming “Lucha Libre” Blazer Mid, Air Max 90, and the past 2006 AF-1 and Dunk High — these sneakers celebrate Mexico’s rich history by incorporating the country’s national colors and elements of the máscaras.

The majority of the uppers are clad in silver while red and green adorn the opposing sides of the Swooshes and are worked into the mask lace guard overlay design. From the top-down view, the full mask is present when both pairs are side-by-side as blue, red, green, silver, and black panels make up the patent leather mask design. To complete the looks, metal Lucha Libre buttons are found at the top eyelet to secure the shroud in place.

There’s no pricing just yet, but these luchador-inspired AF-1s are expected to release later this year.
