Featuring the ADIZERO ADIOS PRO 2, ADIZERO BOSTON 10 and ADIZERO PRIME X, the collection showcases the pinnacle of adidas’ running shoes. The highlight is the ADIOS PRO 2, a lightweight road-running shoe that includes a carbon-infused midsole, a super lightweight mesh upper and a Continental rubber outsole for traction.
The “Sonic Ink” colorway sported by all three sneakers is inspired by running history and is “designed to connect mind and body.” This collection will be worn by athletes running 5k, 10k, half-marathon and marathon distances this season, including Olympic gold medallist Peres Jepchirchir, who won her gold medal wearing the ADIOS PRO 2.
Launching the collection, Jepchirchir discussed the upgrades to the silhouette, saying, “They are light, and feel really fast and responsive. I am looking forward to seeing what we can achieve together as we head into a busy marathon season and hopefully, we can break some records in the process.”
All three silhouettes will release in “Sonic Ink” via the adidas web store on September 2.
