Baby Keem and Kendrick Lamar have dropped off their debut collab track, “family ties.”
Produced by Cardo, Outtatown, Roselilah, Jasper Harris, Frankie Bash, Deats and the pgLang artis thimself, “family ties” is billed as the debut single from Baby Keem’s highly-anticipated upcoming album, The Melodic Blue. The cut arrives with an accompanying music video directed by Dave Free and features appearances from both artists and Normani.
“family ties” marks Baby Keem’s third release of the year following “no sense” and “durag activity” with Cactus Jack. Meanwhile, K-Dot recently announced that his upcoming album will be his last for TDE; he will most likely move to pgLang, his own company that signed Keem. “As I produce my final TDE album, I feel joy to have been a part of such a cultural imprint after 17 years,” he wrote in a previous statement. “The Struggles. The Success. And most importantly, the Brotherhood. May the Most High continue to use Top Dawg as a vessel for candid creators. As I continue to pursue my life’s calling. There’s beauty in completion. And always faith in the unknown.”
