NEON has officially released the debut trailer for Spencer, the Princess Diana biopic starring Kristen Stewart.

The events chronicled in Spencer takes place during Christmas 1991, when Lady Di decides to leave her husband, Prince Charles. The royal family can be seen arriving at Sandringham House as the help unpacks her outfits and prepares their meals, however Princess Diana has locked herself inside the bathroom and someone attempts to get her out, claiming that “they” are waiting for her. Spencer also shows Princess Diana dealing with paparazzi, her role in the family as they take a portrait and running around and dancing freely.

Joining Stewart in the main cast are Jack Farthing as Prince Charles, Timothy Spall, Sally Hawkins, Sean Harris, Olga Hellsing and Thomas Douglas. Spencer is helmed by Jackie director Pablo Larrain, written by Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight and produced by Juan de Dios Larraín, Jonas Dornbach, Janine Jackowski and Paul Webster.
