Future To Host Benefit Concert for Haiti Earthquake Relief
In Miami on September 3.
On August 14, Haiti was hit by a 7.2-magnitude earthquake that left more than 2,000 people dead and 12,000 injured, along with widespread devastation across the country.
As Haiti rebuilds, Future has announced he will host a benefit concert to raise funds and awareness for the country’s recovery with his FreeWishes Foundation. The rapper shared news of the upcoming event on Instagram, with an animated video detailing the concert’s intended impact.
“I would love for all my friends, family, music industry, fashion, and all other industries, and people as a whole to stand up for Haiti,” the announcement reads. “I want to use my voice to do whatever I can to support Haiti during these tragic times and will be doing a benefit concert on September 3 in Miami. Billed as the Haiti Benefit featuring Future, Lil Uzi & Friends, the philanthropic concert will take place on September 3 at Oasis Wynwood in Miami, Florida. General admission tickets start at $100 for the 21+ event.
100 percent of the net proceeds from the concert will benefit Direct Relief, a humanitarian aid organization with a “mission to improve the health and lives of people affected by poverty or emergencies.”
