Engadget has created a condensed 11-minute recap of the in-depth 90-minute 2021 Microsoft Xbox Gamescom Showcase for viewers who want the quick rundown. While many of the games shown were quite niche as many of the big titles were announced back at the E3 conference earlier this year, there were some highlights worth noting.
Xbox cloud gaming is coming to Xbox Series X/S and One. Starting this holiday season, Xbox console players will be able to start up more than 100 games without having to download them first. As for new game highlights, Psychonauts 2 has revealed a fun and trippy spy movie-themed launch trailer, Microsoft Flight Simulator teases more photorealistic gameplay, Dying Light 2 displays creative parkour gameplay in a post-apocalyptic city, and we get a closer look at the clean animations featured in Forza Horizon 5.
