UNIMATIC and HODINKEE Collaborate For Tool Watch Collection
H Series is the Italian watch brand’s first collaboration with HODINKEE.
HODINKEE and UNIMATIC are about to drop a trio of collaborative tool watches capable of taking on land, sea or air.
The UNIMATIC x HODINKEE H Series Limited Edition Collection includes a field watch, diver and the Italian watch brand’s first-ever GMT. UNIMATIC has also sourced all three movements from Sellita, making these the first watches from the brand to use Swiss movements, while HODINKEE brings its own signature cool grey shade to each piece.
UNIMATIC based its new GMT around its existing Modello Uno dive watch, while using a slimmer 41.5mm stainless steel case and a Sellita SW330-2 movement. The watch features a unidirectional rotating bezel with 24-hour scale and a grey 24-hour hand indicating a second timezone. The caseback is engraved with a graphic featuring the world’s 24 time zones. Secured on a black cordovan leather strap and supplied with an additional NATO strap, the U1-HGMT is priced at $1,395 USD.
UNIMATIC’s Modello Uno diver has also been updated with a slimmer case and Sellita movement and reworked to take on HODINKEE’s grey tones, dark for the 60-minute bezel insert ring and cool for the dial. The Modello Uno U1-H Limited Edition is priced $875 USD and is supplied with both a black rubber and NATO-style strap.
The final watch in the collection is a field watch, the Modello Due U2-H Limited Edition, a three-hander with a California dial mix of Arabic and Roman numerals. The 38.5mm watch is supplied with two-piece Cordura and NATO straps and is priced $675 USD.
All of the watches in the trio are water resistant to 300m and are set to drop via HODINKEE at 11am EST.
In other watch news, Alec Monopoly brings a cast of characters to $600,000 USD Jacob & Co. Astronomia.
