Website builder Zyro gives eight popular websites a nostalgic 90’s makeover, taking us back to the pre-social media era of Snake and Tamagotchis.

For this project, the Zyro research team documented each website’s design history, using visuals from the past to cultivate a new library of pixelated images and gifs in a fun 90s style. The team then replicated how each page would have been structured and interacted with, implementing those touches into the user interface of each website. Included in the campaign are Twitter, Youtube, Facebook, Spotify, Twitch, Airbnb, Disney+, and Whatsapp makeovers.

Take a look at the reimagined sites above, and head over to the Zyro website to see the images come to life in animations.
